Suspected abduction case of a
Mother and Daughter |

On the evening of August
12, 1978, Ms.SOGA Hitomi, a 19 year-old
nurse, and her
mother Ms.SOGA Miyoshi, a 46 year-old
office worker, were
abducted by North Korean agents in Sado
city. Ms.SOGA Hitomi returned to Japan
on October 15, 2002. |

The police
have obtained an arrest warrant on commonly known as
Kim Myeong Suk, on suspicion of carrying out the
abduction of Ms.SOGA Hitomi and her mother Ms.SOGA
Miyoshi. The police have also placed her on the
wanted list of the Interpol, and have requested the
extradition of her through the Ministry of Foreign
Affairs to North Korea. |
